Northern Beaches IT Solutions provides mobile computer repairs for home users across Sydney’s Northern Beaches. I come to you, assess the computer in the place it is normally used and explain what is wrong in plain English.
You deal directly with me, Ben Collock, from the initial enquiry through to the completed work. I have supported local clients since 2007 and work with Windows PCs, Apple Macs and the connected devices people rely on every day.
Whether your computer has become slow or unreliable, you are worried about a scam, or you need help setting up something new, I will explain the available options and recommend only the work or equipment you genuinely need.
Computer problems I can help with
You do not need to know the cause before booking. Describe what you are seeing and I will work through the problem at your home. Common appointments include:
- Slow, freezing, crashing or unreliable Windows PCs and Apple Macs
- Computers that will not start, update, connect or behave normally
- Suspicious pop-ups, scam calls, unwanted remote-access software and other security concerns

- Performance upgrades and preventative maintenance where they are worthwhile
What happens at an on-site appointment
- Book online or call me and briefly describe the problem.
- I come to your home with the tools needed to diagnose common computer and network issues.
- I check the cause, explain the options and let you know before doing work that could add cost or require parts.
- Where practical, I complete the repair or setup during the appointment. If parts or specialist work are needed, I explain the next step before proceeding.
- Before I leave, I explain what was changed and any steps that can help prevent the problem returning.
Straightforward pricing
The first hour of on-site computer support is $195 including GST. After the first hour, time is billed in 15-minute increments at $48.75.
For appointments outside my normal Northern Beaches service area, round-trip travel time may be charged at the same hourly rate. I confirm any travel charge before accepting the booking.

Do you come to my home?
Yes. Northern Beaches IT Solutions is a mobile service, so I work on your computer and connected equipment at your home. Customers do not need to disconnect their equipment or bring it to me.
Do you work on Windows PCs and Apple Macs?
Yes. I help with Windows desktops and laptops, Apple Macs and the printers, networks, email accounts and other devices connected to them.
Can you help after a scam or suspicious remote-access session?
Yes. I can check the computer, remove unwanted remote-access software, look for signs of malicious activity and help secure the device and relevant accounts. If financial information may have been exposed, I will also explain which bank or identity-protection steps should be taken.
What if the repair needs parts or cannot be completed in one visit?
I will explain what is required before proceeding. If parts need to be ordered or a follow-up appointment is needed, I will outline the likely cost and next step before any additional work is carried out.
Do you also support small businesses?
